Jordy Smith lança marca própria de pranchas em parceria com o pai, Graham Smith.

Depois de usar marcas como JS, Channel Islands, Haydenshapes e até Slater Designs no circuito mundial, o sul-africano Jordy Smith decidiu lançar a própria marca de pranchas, a Smith Shapes.

A marca será comandada em parceria com seu pai, Graham Smith, renomado shaper da África do Sul. Por vários anos, o Top também competiu com a G-Force, antiga marca de Graham.

Apesar de o anúncio ter sido feito recentemente por Jordy nas redes sociais, há algum tempo ele era visto com as Smith Shapes sob seus pés. No entanto, ele também decidiu que irá competir em tempo integral com os foguetes.

“Meu pai tem mais de 40 anos de experiência no shape, sendo que 25 deles foram comigo surfando. Ele construiu aquilo que acredito ser as melhores pranchas disponíveis, tanto para alta performance, como para o surfe recreativo”, afirma Jordy.

@smthshapes is finally live. After riding thousands of different boards throughout my professional career it came full circle last year and I found myself back on my dads boards.
